Name : Rui

Age & Location : 26, Portugal

Warcraftlogs :

Information about yourself : More than i link my best logs first what can i tell you about myself? Well, I'm a respectful, reliable and friendly person. Willing to go the extra mile. During the raids i'm focused and engaged, outside of them i pride myself in being able to answer to anything on discord with a nice GIF or meme. More on that later.

Content Cleared and Previous Guild History : I started playing in Wrath in a guild called Juggernaut in Grim Batol we did, Ulduar, ToC, LK, then on CATA, i did BwD, Throne of the 4 winds and some Bastion of Twilight at which point i took a break from wow for college, Came back in wod, did Highmaul, most of Foundry with a guild called Anguish, and then took a break again to actualy finish college. Came back in Legion, Joined a newly formed guild called Oracle. We Cutting Edged everything up until Fallen Avatar where we struggled to find replacements for some people who stopped playing, realm transfered to Kazzak looing for more recruits but failed and the guild ultimately disbanded. As a free agent, i joined Order of Sargeras also in Kazzak but didnt raid much as i was offered a position on great internship program shorty after joining the guild. I tried raiding while away from home on a crappy laptop with a crappy internet but it just didnt work. Thanked the Officers for the opportunity and canceled my wow sub.

Current Spec(s) : Arms and Fury, i dable in Prot when the need arises

Raid Availability : 100% Wed, Thu, Mon 20-23 ST. Open to raid extensions when the RL sees fit as well as raiding off days at the start of BfA if needed.

Recent Warcraft Logs : Dont realy have any. Like i said, i didnt raid Mythic antorus for more than a week.

Why do you want to join Depthcore? : Setting asside that i'm 100% Alliance and have sadly been playing Horde for longer than i would like, I want to play with a group of seasoned, experienced raiders with the ambition to climb to the coveted Hall of Fame coming in BfA and beyond, while not sacrificing having fun with the game in the process.

Name x2 things you love to see in a raiding guild : Cooperation between mates, its not about how i can F you over and make myself look good, its about how we can help each other and bring the group further. Dont realy have a second (Free repairs?), if you have what i already talked about, everything else comes easily.

Name x2 things you hate to see in a raiding guild : (No free repairs?) Animosity between players. If interests are not aligned and the boat is rowed in two directions we are not going anywhere. Benched raiders crying because they didnt get selected, the perfect composition doesnt always include you to down the boss, accept it and work harder so does next time.

What are your views around benching people for raid composition or performance issues? : Well this is awkward, just answered it. ... next question.

What would you consider to be the "Hardest" encounter for you so far? : I never realy found any boss to be super hard personaly. Only from a teamplay standpoint. Star Augur was great. If 1 guy messed up, it was over. i like those mechanics a lot. Sad they are not seen more often.

How do you keep your character up-to-date? : I start by reading up on the class discord, Skyhold plus the Arms compendium and Archimtiros and other theorycrafters input for Fury, then i sim my character regularly vs the indicated stat breakpoints, soft caps etc. then i search and make a list of BiS gear and where to find it. Including the best trinkets for this or that raid situation. That process becomes rather straightforward after i crosscheck my choices with those other warriors on warcraft logs and the class discord(or maybe my fellow warrior guildies;) ). After that i go through each boss fight and the timings it has (namely, length of the fight, windows where burst damage is needed and i may have to hold long dmg CDs for, etc) to prepare a strategy for each encounter. This entire process makes me 100% ready for every raid fight. I was only able to fully do this during Nighthold and early stages of ToS. the results are quite obvious on the logs i linked above.

Do you have BFA Beta? : Sadly no. (Thanks a lot Blizz). But i did get to do some testing on PTR.

Current Hardware : GTX 1060 6GB GPU, 16GB RAM, i5-4670k CPU, WoW on an SSD for speedy load times, Triple monitors. a 1440p 144hz one for wow and 2 1080p ones, 1 for discord, the other to look for memes to post on discord.

Interface/Raiding Addon's List : Big Wigs, Announce Interrupts, Details! , Exorsus raid tools, Quartz, Bartender, Weak Auras, Z-Perl unit frames, MSBT | I am currently looking into swapping to ElvUI, so the following UI screenshot is not indicative of what i'll have soon and thats on a 1080p screen. I got a 1440p one now. (its night and day, get one if you dont have already)

User Interface Screenshot(s) :

Day's Played : ~198 days

Internet Connection & Stability :
Vodafone is amazing here, never goes down

Do you have anything special to tell us? / Additional information : I dont want to pass the impression that i'm just a goofball. I mean, i am but during raids, like i said before its 100% focus time. I want to raid at a high level and given the chance i am certain i can prove to you i am a valuable raider despite what the logs may show. I not one to make mistakes and when i do, i acknowledge them and make sure they dont happen again.

Any Alts? : Not at the moment.

Contact information : Ruialex#1022 on Discord / Thundermourn#21857 on BNet

Tell us a joke : Any logs tab of mine that is not the one i provided.

Final comments : Thank you for the time you took to read my through my apply, i'm available for any questions you might have on discord or Bnet.

Hi Rui

First of all thank you for writing a great application.

After discussing it with the other officers, we have decided not to offer you a trial.

With BfA so close and the melee team being pretty much full, our requirements for trials are very high.

I do thank you for your interest in our guild.

Good luck in finding a guild that suits you.

Regards Uppel.
